My creative week and my niche ideas for making your art or craft hobby profitable online

This week I took part in a blogging summit called Blogger Breakthrough. I found it really interesting and picked up a lot of ideas. I also found time to create this piece of artwork which I’ve called ‘Impressionistic dragonflies in a meadow’. I was going to call it ‘Libellule in the meadow’ as I just love the sound of this (Italian?) word for dragonfly…but then thought people reading might not know what it meant!

Apart from following along with the blogging summit I also brainstormed a new headline blurb for my ‘Beginners’ course to start selling your art and crafts online‘ as my information headline doesn’t seem niche enough (learnt this in the blogging summit!). The link is here if you would like to take a peek at my online course for artists and crafters.

So I started thinking who exactly my course is for. I’ve finally slimmed it down to a list:

  • Retired people who have a creative art or craft hobby
  • Anyone who has quite a bit of free time and has a creative art or craft hobby
  • Anyone that has very little (or) no tech know-how
  • Would like to make their art or craft hobby profitable online and not spend hours trawling through all the ins and outs of setting it up!

Basically, all the points on the list were ME a few years ago and I remember what a headache it was trying to get everything set up – which is why I developed these online courses to help other people in the same situation save time – precious time they can use for their creativity.

Would love your feedback and ideas!

  1. I love the dragonflies and agree with the name. Your classes look fun and informative too. I really like how reasonably priced they are too.
